To make coffee, you'll need ground coffee, water, and a brewing method. Here's a guide:
Measure Coffee: Use about 1 to 2 tablespoons of ground coffee for every 6 ounces of water, depending on how strong you like your coffee.
Grind Coffee Beans (Optional): If you're using whole beans, grind them to a medium-coarse consistency.
Boil Water: Heat water to just below boiling, around 200°F to 205°F (93°C to 96°C).
Brew: There are several brewing methods, including:
- Drip Coffee Maker: Add the ground coffee to the filter, pour water into the reservoir, and start the machine.
- French Press: Add the ground coffee to the French press, pour in hot water, stir, place the lid on the press (but don't plunge), and let it steep for about 4 minutes. Slowly press down the plunger to separate the grounds from the coffee.
- Pour Over: Place a filter in the pour-over cone, add the ground coffee, pour hot water over the grounds in a circular motion, and let it drip through.
- Espresso Machine: Use finely ground coffee and follow the machine's instructions for brewing espresso.
Serve: Pour the brewed coffee into a cup and add any desired sweeteners, milk, or cream.
