Giant African millipedes live mostly in forests, but can also be found in the areas of coastal habitat that contain at least a few trees.
Giant African millipede is found in the following countries:
- East Africa
- Mozambique
- Kenya
- Southern Arabia
Due to it's docile nature, giant millipedes are involved in the Pet Trade. This is why it is also found in many other countries as pets.
