Domestic Dog, scientifically known as Canis lupus familiaris, is a subspecies of the gray wolf and a member of the genus Canis, which forms part of the family Canidae, the canids. It's one of the most widely abundant terrestrial carnivores and has been selectively bred by humans for millennia for various behaviors, sensory capabilities, and physical attributes.
