COVID-19 is mainly spread from one person to another through small droplets from the nose or mouth when a person with COVID-19 coughs or exhales near another person(s).
These droplets also land on objects and surfaces around the person. If other people touch these objects or surfaces and then touch their eyes, nose or mouth, they also catch COVID-19.
The virus may also be present in feces in some cases, but this happens rarely. This is why it is not the major reason of the outbreak.
